A New 19c Double Storey Extension

East Acton Primary School needed more space to accommodate their students and teachers’ working needs, and their vital facilities needed refurbishing. The site was very tight for space, with no external storage, therefore orders had to be timed to perfection when required.

To solve their problems, we created a double-storey extension adjoining the old part of the school, which included: a new IT suite, mobility entrance, Head Master’s office and storage. We also refurbished the home economics class, staff lounge and working area, toilets and corridors. All external work was in-keeping with the existing 19^th century heritage style. We took care to ensure that hardy materials were used to cope with heavy wear and tear.
